Biography:

Tiesheng Wang (王铁胜) is currently a PDRA at School of Chemistry, The University of Sydney. He is developing MOF-guest systems, MOFs and their derivatives with Prof. Deanna D'Alessandro. Tiesheng received his BEng in Materials Science and Engineering from Imperial College London mentored by Prof. Mary P. Ryan FREng and Dr Fang Xie. He obtained MRes from EPSRC Sensor CDT at the University of Cambridge (Darwin College) and did his PhD study in Materials Science (Sensor Technologies and Applications) at the University of Cambridge (Darwin College) supervised by Dr Stoyan K. Smoukov and Prof. R. Vasant Kumar and working closely with Prof. Anthony K. Cheetham FRS.

Research Interests

Tiesheng Wang  is conducting his PhD research under the supervision of Dr Stoyan K. Smoukov and Professor R. Vasant Kumar in the area of Nano structured materials for tactile sensing.

He is also working closely with Professor Anthony K. Cheetham FRS. Tiesheng is developing materials under nano-confinement and multifunctional materials with interpenetrating structures that can benefit sensing, energy storage, and catalysis.
