This month's Sensors Café was different as we had a panel discussion about choosing a PhD project with representatives from various Sensor CDT cohorts. These PhD students shared their insights and experiences regarding choosing a project to our MRes cohort. Additionally, we were joined by Dr. Amanda Brunton from the University's Postgraduate Researcher Development team, who provided invaluable expertise on guiding the Sensors CDT students towards becoming professional and happy researchers.
During the session, we discussed topics such as the criteria for choosing a PhD project, the key factors contributing to a successful PhD journey, and strategies for determining the compatibility between research groups and researchers.
