At this month's Sensors CDT talk, we were pleased to welcome Dr. Duygu S. Sevilgen, a Postdoctoral Researcher specialising in the use of microelectrode sensors to study biomineralisation. The talk provided an insightful overview of electrochemical microsensors - small, custom-made tools enabling real-time, high-resolution measurements with a particular focus on coral skeleton formation and oxygen distribution in deep-sea sediments.
