Paloma is interested in understanding the specific adaptations that allow far related predatory insect species of varying sizes to carry out a very similar behaviour. For example, how is body shape correlated with flight attack trajectories? What are the morphological characteristics of the sensory systems and the motor apparatus that co-evolved to achieve successful predation?
