An afternoon of experiments: workshop for children confirmed!

Do you wonder what’s in the air you breathe when you cycle?

On the afternoon of Tuesday 14 August 2018, we will be hosting a workshop at the Centre for Computing History, aimed specifically at children and teenagers (around ten years of age and older).

In this workshop, you will build a device that measures air pollution. We will mount the device on your bike and you will be able to collect and look at data the same afternoon. Building the device will include some soldering.

Build your own Bike Sensor is a lively and unique workshop aimed at children aged from ten upwards. All under 14's must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

The workshop will run from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm, with a break for afternoon tea and the opportunity to go out on your bike to try the sensor.

The workshop costs £12 for the participants and £8 for the accompanying adults. If you have already booked an accompanying adult ticket for another event on this day, you do not need to book another one for this event.

Although the booking is for a specific time slot, entry to the Centre is permitted all day. The Centre is open from 10 am to 5 pm. Tea, coffee and snacks will be available from our Pac Lunch Shop. There's plenty of seating for parents.

Date:

Event location:
Centre for Computing History, Rene Court, Coldhams Road, Cambridge CB1 3EW
