Lectures, seminars, workshops, conferences, meetings

The Sensor CDT holds a number of events during the year. Most are aimed at the Sensor CDT students but some are open to interested researchers, academics, industry or the general public.

Sensors Day

The flagship event is the Sensors Day which is generally held in the middle of October. It showcases sensor research from across Cambridge University and internationally leading researchers from across the globe.

Science Festival

Student from the Sensor CDT showcase their research at the Science Festival held in March each year.

Workshops

The Sensor CDT is organising workshops that are open to the interested public, such as interfacing sensors with Arduino micro controllers or Raspberry Pi mini computers.

Congratulation to Johanna Kölbel, Sensor CDT MRes student, on the publication of her first paper with the Terahertz Applications Group.

Sensor CDT students at Creativity Sandpit with Imperial and Warwick CDTs

May 22, 2018

A Creativity Sandpit took place on 15-17 May 2018 at Easthamstead Park near Bracknell in a big old mansion and about 30 brilliant minds working together. It was organised by the High Performance Embedded and Distributed Systems (HiPEDS) CDT at Imperial College. In addition to HiPEDS and Sensor CDT, the Warwick Urban Science CDT joined in as well.
