Sensor PhD Showcase 2019

A showcase of interdisciplinary sensors research

St John's College
University of Cambridge
11 October 2019

The sensors student showcase is a student led event, which will feature poster presentations and talks from students of the Sensor CDT, other Cambridge and national CDTs, and from the SAOT Photonics graduate school in Erlangen, Germany. Speakers will be selected from submitted abstracts. The conference aims to enhance links across students from different institutions and sensing disciplines.

Do you have an interesting measurement problem? Have you developed a new technology for which you seek end users?  Have you got a technology you seek to commercialise?  Have you made a fundamental discovery that enables or requires a new mode of measurement?  Come along and discuss with expert peers from a range of disciplines and backgrounds.

Our 2019 Showcase features:

    • External speakers from leaders in academia and industry
    • Student short talks (7 min + 3 min Q&A)
    • Student flash talks (3 min + 1 min Q&A)
    • Poster session with live demonstrations of sensors
    • Multidisciplinary panel discussion
    • Student-led social event
