EPSRC CDT in Sensor Technologies for a Healthy and Sustainable Future

Title: 'The Evolution of PolyProx Therapeutics'

Speaker: Laura Itzhaki, PolyProx Therapeutics

Venue: Johnson Matthey Lecture Theatre (LT2), Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, Philippa Fawcett Drive, Cambridge CB3 0AS

Description: Laura Itzhaki's talk will focus on a new technology that PolyProx Therapeutics has developed to harness the cell's internal quality-control machinery.  Their approach shortcuts cell signals to redirect the machinery to dispose of disease-associated proteins.  In 2019 PolyProx Therapeutics secured seed financing to develop drug candidates exploiting this technology.
