EPSRC CDT in Sensor Technologies for a Healthy and Sustainable Future

Professor Mascolo is a Full Professor of Mobile Systems in the Department of Computer Science and Technology and Centre Co-Director for the Centre for Mobile, Wearable Systems and Augmented Intelligence. Her interests are in the study of mobile systems, the learning from their data offline and on device and their applications, especially in terms of mobile health.

Professor Mascolo's research focus is on mobile systems and how to make use of them to understand human behaviour in an efficient and effective way. In particular she is interested in mobile and wearable systems for mobile health: this includes on device machine learning and techniques to make sense of mobile and sensor data on device. The use of devices to improve diagnostics and disease progression would allow the sustainability of population diagnostics and health improvement of the masses.
