EPSRC CDT in Sensor Technologies for a Healthy and Sustainable Future
Professor Rachel Oliver leads the Cambridge Gallium Nitride Centre. Gallium Nitride is a recently developed semiconductor material that lies at the heart of many sustainable technologies including energy efficient solid state lighting. It also has applications in efficient power conversion and in sensors which allow us to measure temperature, pressure, gas flow and other parameters in extreme environments, allowing process monitoring to reduce emissions.
