EPSRC CDT in Sensor Technologies for a Healthy and Sustainable Future

Research

Sanjiv Sambandan's research group works towards the development of electronic systems on flexible substrates. While a large theme of research is related to fundamental issues such as the study of device physics and the performance of integrated circuits, these ideas are then used to build efficient systems with integrated sensors and actuators for applications such as healthcare, energy harvesting, sensors for food storage, sensors for water diagnostics and wearable electronics. The prime strategy towards developing low cost systems on flex for such applications is the development of easy to use, decentralized systems that are networked, a good example being - health care devices for remote areas.
